Open Dictionary from Macmillan

Did you know that the English language had reached a vocabulary of one million words? According to the Global Language Monitor the English language generates a new word approximately every 98 minutes, or 14.7 every day. You can have the chance to add your very own words to this total by visiting the Open Dictionary from Macmillan. Is there a word or phrase which you have read or heard recently, and which you think should go into the dictionary? Just write a short definition, and add an example from the text where you came across it, if possible, and they'll do the rest.
